the project

i began the "hello, my name is..." project to prove to my peers that we don't just have to walk by each other every day as strangers. we see the same faces wherever we go, but have you have thought to say hello? you might as well make a friend, and through this project, i have discovered that it's not that difficult to break the stranger barrier.

throughout the week i have been wandering around my dorm and the rest of campus seeing who is brave enough to make a friend as well. after having that first conversation, you can really learn a lot about that face you casually disregard daily. i then asked if i could take photos of these people i've met, displaying what i found out about their personalities just after meeting them.

and so here, the project unfolds...
